There's something oddly captivating about this video to me.... I never really thought too much about Fleetwood Mac until I saw this a couple days ago... tell me what you think:

Their music is the soundtrack for cocaine @ sundown. It's a brilliant sound.

Been a big Fleetwood Mac fan since the early days when Bob Welch joined them in '71. One of the last times I did blotter acid was for a FM concert. I am still not certain what I saw that night was real or just the acid talking. Phenomenal music.

Love Fleetwood Mac. Was a big part of the soundtrack of my youth in the '70's.

Gold Dust Woman is probably my favorite FM song, although I wasn't that crazy about the version of it in that video (didn't listen to it all, maybe it got better).

Took my teenagers to see FM last summer and they became fans after that concert.

You should also find a video of Tusk...amazing drum work by Mick Fleetwood. remember seeing a TV special back in the '70's where the band performed Tusk with the USC Marching Band. It was pretty cool actually, with all the drums and what not.

Rumours still holds up as one of the best rock albums of the '70's IMO.

[vox]My father did some legal work for them in the '70s. I was mostly too young to remember/appreciate meeting them but I did take a ride on their private plane once. I think they hid the coke and stuff in due deference to my age, but maybe it was because it was a short flight.[/vox].

there are really 2 fleetwood macs. fleetwood & mac are the constants, but at the begining it was the guitarists peter green & john(?) spencer who drove the hard blues sound of FM, they both lost influence (and sanity) as the john mac's wife joined the band and began to influence their style. they pulled a beverly hillbillies move, w/ buckingham/nicks joining and completing the sound transformation

All great choices. I really dig "Hypnotized" as well.

Immense talent.

The Jeremy Spencer/Peter Green/Danny Kirwan (i.e. English) iterations of the band were great. The Bob Welch/first California line-up was "meh". Can't stand the Buckingham/Nicks version.

Both iterations of the band were talented in their own right and opened the band to new audiences.

I don't believe I've encountered anyone who outright hates the band. Quite fond of their work, myself

My only exposure to Fleetwood Mac is from a couple of singles off the Tango In The Night album ("Big Love" and "Little Lies"), which I thought were great at the time.

I thought the video the OP posted above was brilliant, so went and listened to the original Rumors version and was a bit disappointed that it didn't sound like this live video... but I guess that's down to being influenced by the first version I'd just heard.

But will definitely check out the rest of the Rumors album...
