Affordable Dirty Bucks?? Bass??

The sole on my Bass dirty bucks split in the on each foot where my foot bends within a month. Get Brooks Brothers and be done with it. Nordstrom has nice looking ones in their own brand for about $100 too.

I've had great luck with Bass bucks, but xchen's experience highlights the dangers of glued soles. They fail, sooner or later. With bucks, though, I don't intend to keep them for a long time, so it's worth the risk, at least to me.

Brooks is a good option, though. Had I not found a bunch of Bass bucks for $16 per, I'd probably go that route.

Check out Cole Haans for a somewhat affordable bucks. I also have some old Bass ones that have held up well, and wear them casually still.

not denying others' experiences; but, I have Bass bucks and have been very satisfied with them. Extremely comfortable and have lasted well...

Yes, very much so, at least the ones I have. I've tried a pair at Brooks and they were not as comfortable as the Bass, diminishing my interest in upgrading.

The Bass have a lot of padding. I've been having foot problems of late, and the Bass have become some of my most worn shoes.

I have had good experiences with Bass over the years. I have a pair that I purchased about 6 months ago and wear at least once a week. They have held up well and are softening up to be very comfortable.

i plan to buy a second pair each of both the white and dirty bucks
it is easier to toss when worn down then try to resole these.

Can anyone explain the difference between the Exeter, Buckingham, and Brockton styles? They vary in price but it is hard to tell why.

Good question, also curious. Are the lasts different on them as well, or is it just the soles? I had been kicking myself for not buying some of the BB bucks during the summer sale, but this seems like it may be as good an option (I'd heard bad things about the Brooks bucks durability/quality too).

I just scored some off white bucks from Florsheim for $60. Very comfortable and a slightly narrower less bulbous toe box than most of the others I've seen.

the BB bucks i just took delivery of are made in China. I guess i shouldn't be surprised, and they seem reasonably well made, for the price. but various comments I read had led to me to think otherwise.
