Hairstyle - Ears

I've just registered with the site, Hello everyone

I live in England and I'm 20 years old. Throughout my youth I've shaved my head but for the past two years I decided to grow my hair because I want to disguise my ears. They stick out and there pretty big, which isn't a good look.

I've got black wavy/curly hair which is roughly 5-6cm in length. If its left alone during the day, it ends up shaping into an afro, obviously this just brings out the ears more. I need a hairstyle which can cover my ears or at least take the attention away from them but at the same time look good. My ears are 6-7cm in length and stick out 1.5'ish cm from the head.

Pathetic as it may sound, my ears have knocked my confidence. I'm not the same person as I once was, I don't go out as much and all my friends and family are wondering whats up with me. They can see I've got big ears but I'm not sure whether or not they understand that it stops me from going about everyday life. At the moment I wear a beanie/hat to hold them back. If I can get myself a good hairstyle which works wonders for my confidence, I'll be able to get on with life again. Its like living in a jail at the moment! I can't get surgery as I haven't got the money and my parents wouldn't even fund it as they are against that sort of thing and to top it, the NHS wont help as they have had to cut spending.

I went to see a stylist a few weeks ago and he just trimmed it and put clay it in so my hair sticks out. I really didn't like the look, it looked as though I had been electrocuted but himself and a few ladies said it looked good. I'm going to see another stylist on Friday, well I hope to, no appointment made yet although he or she might be able to help. I really need your help, please advise.

Dude, I have kind of big ears too, and it's not a particularly big deal. Unless you're really unattractive otherwise, your ears shouldn't really make much of a difference. If you're in very good physical shape, develop more chiseled facial features (i.e. cut down on overall bodyfat), get a haircut that doesn't make it obvious that you're trying to cover up your ears, and dress well, girls aren't going to be too worried about your ears. If you happen to be intelligent, good at conversation, or good at boning/hooking up/whatever pleases you, you're golden.
