AFAIK this movie is set before Tokyo Drift. Not certain though as I haven't seen it yet.

This. The series timeline goes:
TFATF => 2F2F => F&F => F5 => TD

I still haven't seen the movie though and there is suppose to be an easter egg at the end of the credits so I am not sure if they'll have another movie that will go before Tokyo Drift or if the next movie will be after TD.

The character of Han is the same character in Better Luck Tomorrow, also directed by Justin Lin. In Tokyo Drift, when asked why he's in Tokyo, Han replies that he is evading prosecution back in the states. Presumably from the murder that takes place in Better Luck Tomorrow. Mind = blown.

lol, was this ever confirmed?
post #53 of 74
No, but it's in perfect canon with the entire franchise. In 4, 5, and 6 (yes, there will be a sixth and final film) Han is in DR, Brasil, and Germany; respectively. There's no mention of him ever going back to the US. No one has asked Justin Lin to confirm the theory, probably because the people who watched Better Luck Tomorrow aren't the same people who watch The Fast and the Furious.

I just got done seeing it. I liked it, a lot. Can't wait for the next one.

Plus having these fine mamacitas in it doesn't hurt a damn thing!

Elsa Pataky

Jordana Brewster

Gal Gadot

movie owned hard. by far exceeded every expectation of mine. that is all

I have never laughed so hard in a movie that was not supposed to be comedy. I mean I wasn't expecting much buy I needed all those laughs. Poor Gal Gadot she obviously doesn't care about being in any quality films so maybe I could hire to be in one of mine.

Going to see it tonight...have seen all the movies except #4.

I read the wikipedia summary for 4...is there anything else I should know?

Has anyone made one of those summary youtube videos where they clip out all of the crap and just show the explosions and the few important plot points.
