Okay, I'm a girl and I'm absolutely "for" any method of keeping creepers off my back, but I've never heard of this supposed wedding ring scandal you guys are discussing. The one and only time I've legitimately heard of it was when a friend went overseas and wanted to deter desperate foreign men wanting green cards.

People who desire to meet "intelligent" people are generally social outcasts.

I've never really been crazy about Vancouver for some reason. It could be because any and every hipster I've ever met has migrated there, but who knows. I also like being closer to NYC.

Why do you say so? I mean, I can understand your POV in the case, say, of some WoW nerd who locks himself inside all day and goes on and on about how nobody'll ever understand him because he thinks he's so intelligent or whatever, and as such, he figures he'll never find anyone remotely approaching his apparent intellectual level. However, I don't see the problem with wanting to be in a relationship with someone who you can hold a conversation with, for one, though I realize that particular quality probably doesn't correlate that well with intelligence.

Meh. Or maybe they're just in jobs where they're not surrounded by highly educated peers. That's certainly the case for me. I have a good job, and while there are some cute girls there (all wearing rings), most of them are in customer service or front-end positions, so i'm assuming they're not that well educated, not very ambitious, and possibly not that intelligent, though I haven't spoken to any of them enough to form an opinion (because of the rings). This is something I think about a lot. A part of me wants a simple girl. The other part thinks i need someone really smart with a very curious mind that reads a lot so that we always have things to talk about down the road. This stuff always makes me think about Manhattan, when Woody realizes that when he's really honest with himself, he was most at peace and enjoyed himself the most when he was with Tracy (the 17 year old). In all honesty, I have no idea what I want.

West end coffee shops. Specialty bars a la Reposado. Some Bay St. bars...but you'll be battling the other wolves.
