Nice quick rundown/intro on who the GOTG are if you're unfamiliar.

Not sure if it's time to make a new Thor thread yet so I'll just post here for now.

Thor: The Dark World possible villain?
Announced at this year's Comic-Con, "Thor 2" has dropped the number in favor of a subtitle. The film slated for release on November 15, 2013, is now titled Thor: The Dark World. Now this title might give keen, knowledgeable readers a hint at what it might allude to, but for the rest of you it seems the cat is out of the bag. In an interview with I Review Too, stuntman James Grogan let this little bit slip out:

The other day for example, this is quite random but I was working on Thor 2,” he explains, “I had a load of stunt guys in and the director came in and he said ‘Look, we want you all to be elves,’ and I was like ‘What the hell is an elf anyway?’ and he said ‘I want you all to walk around like these supernatural animals,’ honestly it was the most ridiculous thing ever but you just have to not be self aware and get on with it.”

Yup, sounds like the Dark Elves to us.

I guess we'll see Kurse or Malekith? I though Enchantress was going to be the next villain but I guess not. Loki is supposed to be in this film too but likely with a smaller part?

^ As awesome as he is, please, no more Loki.

I mean, as long as Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman are in, audiences are going to flock to it.
Yah Portman is confirmed to return but Loki might just be there to connect a link between Thor2 and the Thanos or Avengers 2. I don't think he is the main villain but he might also be the one doing all the manipulating for the Elves via Thanos' will.

Great news though it was kind of a given!

I always hate when movies are announced that far in advanced. Talk about a long wait. frown.gif

it should give fanboys with suicidal tendencies a reason to hold on longer
post #942 of 1032
They need the time to crank out a few more of the solo films. My gut tells me this will be the strategy from now own. Rinse and repeat every three to four years till the public gets sick of the characters and they no longer make enough money.

3 years...?! Goodness.
3 years seems long, but there is good filler content between then and now.

ant man
Thor 2
edit: man of steel

3 years doesn't seem soo bad!

It's really not that long. We are more than half-way through the year as it is. Besides, the solo films ought to tide us over like hoozah said.
