Agreed. I could watch the Avengers over and over again. Watchmen, although I love it, I could only take one dosage of it at a certain time.

Avengers and Watchmen are two vastly different films. Avengers is great for the action scenes and sense of humor. Watchmen is more brooding and dark, and not really a story of super heroes, but rather a story about the human condition.

Avengers is better as a film... Watchmen was a very good case study in why strict adherence to source material when transferring to a new medium often loses a lot of what made the original great. It was good, but it definitely did not have anything close to the power the GN punched with. It's all in the details, and they didn't translate to film.

That's what most people seem to think, thank you.
It's too bad that my taste in movies biases me towards disliking Avengers, just like I hated Iron Man and the lot. I would like to be able to enjoy it with the rest of the world, but I just find it too boring.

The best adaptation of Watchmen was the first season of Heroes.

I watched the Avengers for the first time yesterday and thought it was overrated. Probably because everyone kept telling me how great it was. Watchmen was nothing special to me but I still prefer the Avengers to the Watchmen.
