Omega watch in Casino Royale comes to mind.

For every X-Men: First Class and Dark Knight, we get a Green Lantern and Jonah Hex. The higher-quality films are getting better but we still have enough stinkbombs to even it out.

At least they wrote themselves a way to reestablish FF. Evans = Torch = Cap.

It wasn't the worst, but it was blatant. That scene when they arrived at NY for the final battle where Capt, Widow, and Hawkeye ran around the MDX, it seemed there was a moment where there was nothing going on during that scene except for the Acura just sitting there.

They did a good job though during the battle when Iron Man was getting mobbed on the ground, in the background was a Farmers Insurance office.

Yes, I believe you were. Hahaha. peepwall[1].gif

That's a whole other topic then product placement. You are right about what killed Ironman 2, but I think it's slightly cynical to assume they will apply the same treatment to Avengers 2 without any indications of it happening.

While it's not something I would want to watch again anytime soon, I really didn't hate the movie.

Scarlet Johnson's breasts seemed smaller. Is anyone else worried?

30% of the pre-release comments on this thread were on this topic.

I just thought she always looked constipated in the promotional shots they released before the film hit.

Speaking of product placements, have you guys been reading the problem with Skyfall? Apparently James Bond won't be drinking his vodka martinis anymore, he'd be sipping on Heineken. We'll likely see the green bottles everywhere too.

Apparently Heineken paid $45mil for the product placement and it's the only was they could make the film. I'm afraid we'll see a lot of Omega shots too, he'd likely check his watch several times in the film just to show a close-up of it.

My understanding is him drinking a beer was always part of the plan as a way to mix things up. Heineken would be paying to have him drink that particular brand of beer, not to have the actual story changed.

Yeah but vodka martini is James Bonds signature drink, it'll be like Jordan wearing Reeboks or Marty McFly driving a Trueno. It's the same travesty as Reed Richards making the Fantasticar a Dodge and have Human Torch mentioning the Hemi engine. It really is starting to get ridiculous.
