I was glad to see whedon cover the whole spectrum in the movie, showing fantastic action, great acting in the dialogues and subdued scenes and also a good amount of gags, specially from RDJ´s Tony Stark and (surprinsingly) Mark Ruffalo´s Hulk (both in bruce mode as in green mode).

yup, loki owned them. I also have to admit, mark ruffalo's a great bruce banner- I was kinda wary of him replacing ed norton.

Just curious, but are they doing any TV advertising for this film. It hit me today that I don't believe I've seen any ads for this movie - maybe one during the SuperBowl but I can't remember. But, I keep seeing ads for other movies like Battleship.

If they're not running ads, I'm pretty impressed because this I hear they are predicting the biggest opening ever and I know it's already done huge numbers overseas.

Totally serious.

But , never mind - not 5 minutes after posting my question a TV ad for the movie came on.

Then again, I think that is first one I have seen. Otherwise all I have seen is an insurance ad, for Allstate or State Farm, I think which has a bunch of fat guys dressed like the characters. So that would be a tie-in, but not a direct ad.

Have they been running ads and I just haven't noticed?

They have been running ads non-stop. They have them running on some insurance company ads(like you mentioned) and even Dr Pepper tie in. But they have been running these ads non-stop. The only time I watch any tv is shows I record on the DVR, but even skipping over the ads, you can still see em.

That's what really has me debating about seeing The Dark Knight Rises on its midnight showing. I know I'll feel completely useless the next day.

I'm either going tonight or some time tomorrow afternoon. The price for a regular showing is atrocious here, so I might just wait until tomorrow. Either way, I can't wait to see it!

I think I only got around 3 hours of sleep last night since I couldn't fall asleep right when I got home. Useless is a great way to describe how I feel. Had planned on hitting the gym after work and I don't see that happening. frown.gif

I'll share some thoughts on the film later. What I liked and didn't. Overall it was a great experience. Just wish the theater didn't only have tickets for the 3D showing available. Not only do they cost a lot more, but 3D didn't really add much value to the film at all. Don't get me wrong, it didn't distract from the enjoyment, but it was by and large a useless effect.
