I think that was meant to just illustrate they both have their "feminine" ways of getting things done but at the end of the day, female equality in the workplace is still far off. But hey, people can say that today about the executive club.

I was surprised he does not speak of her as glowingly in front of his professional peers as he did in front of his mother. And of course, I think it was the first time he was stern with his new wife when she was present.
It was a good renewal episode for Draper; the swimming, eating even if it's only from a can, dating but not sleeping with everything that moves, and him showing up for Gene's birthday reminded me so much of Season 1 when he was there (partially) for Sally's birthday. That was the illusion that Betty wanted the most.
