Who makes Ralph Lauren Sanderson, Singleton and Slaton shoe lines? - Page 2

The Ralph Lauren Slaton cap toes are made by Allen Edmonds in Wisconsin. I just got a brand new pair of size 10 D in my last shipment of Allen Edmonds. They are a beautiful shoe. They look a little bit like the Fifth Avenue.

Hi all,
I have went to RL store today and the Black wingtip sanderson the sole said "Allen Edmonds " made in USA.
So yes the wingtips are infact made by AE.
I purchsed the burnished one and mine stamped as Ralph Lauren on teh sole.
Great shoes. images

Good to know, I just received the same burnished Sanderson that I bought last week during RL's 25% off sale and was wondering who I would send them to for re-crafting in future.

Any idea what model AE these are comparable too?

I ordered a pair of brown Sanderson in the recent sale. I'm probably going to return them but they are quite nice. Very solid and nice antiquing too.

The wingtip is the same model as AE players.

I think they're equivalent to the new longwings in the "Independence" collection.

I'm confused, is the RL Sanderson an AE MacNeil or an Alden Longwing? I keep hearing conflicting information,

RL Sandersons are made by AE. They are on a different last and have a different pattern than AEs stock MacNeil longwing. Polo does not carry any shoes made by Alden.

Many thanks, I didn't think that RL carried Alden products but when I hear "Longwings" I automatically think of the Alden Longwing.

Got some sandersons and I think they are amazing. I like the last better than AE's, the leather seems slightly better and the double leather soles are a nice touch. Probably not worth the premium at retail but on sale they are a steal!

I picked up some Slaton Calf Cap-toes at the latest sale. Great deal on sale, but at regular price not nearly the quality as my Aldens.

Are the Slaton's double leather soled also? The RL mansion didn't have most of the "made in USA" shoes in stores and had to order my sandersons for me. Similarly, they didn't have any Slatons in stock.
