Studio D'artisan - Page 4

Hey @kiya - Back in 2005 or 2006, Studio D'Artisan was my introduction to Japanese denim.  10 years later, still wearing them, albeit a few waist sizes up (I was 31, 155 lbs and lean.  These days, I am 175, and a full 2 sizes larger in the waist (and a size larger in shirts and jackets).  Sigh... age, delicious carbs...

I started off wth the same SD-103 model that everyone wears, as well as a left handed, blue grey model.

Yes, i've loved this brand for so many years and it's great that we're finally able to carry it. We have a lot of special releases in store for the fall and winter that i believe will impress even the most seasoned denim aficionado.

Studio D'Artisan Hank-Dyed Natural Indigo Jeans, Indigo Jacquard Shirts, & Wild Ass Loopwheeled Tees

One of the strongest shipments of product of the year has just shown up, this one from Studio D'Artisan. They've done a very limited new jean made of a natural indigo hank-dyed yarns. Limited to only 100 pairs worldwide this jean has been triple-stitched throughout yet looks like a narrow double needle stitch due to the third (outer) stitch being indigo dyed cotton. Lot's of very unique details on this jean, not to mention the denim is absolutely beautiful.

We've seen quite a few jacquard woven shirts but not many which are an intricate pattern in indigo stitched over an indigo yarn dyed base, it's indigo overload this month with SDA. The shirts look like a dark navy but there is a three dimensional pattern woven over the base; these come in two versions, a tree pattern and a pineapple pattern. We have one which we've been wearing and washing and the pattern is more apparent as the garment lightens up in shade with normal wear.

Along with these items we have some super wild loopwheeled t-shirts, stitched together with a flatlock stitch machine. The horizontal weave pattern on these t-shirts is apparent when new, but really comes alive after you've washed the shirt as it twists the garment in the direction of the loopwheeling machine's stitch.

All these items are available now in our online store and at all five Self Edge stores.

Studio D'Artisan Shirts, Nirvana Tees, Loopwheeled Pocket Tees, Indigo Dyed Watch Caps, and SD-507 Restock

Studio D'Artisan have just hit us with a strong shipment of shirts, loopwheeled blank pocket tees, indigo dyed watch caps, an SD-507 jean restock, and one very strange Nirvana t-shirt.

The short sleeved shirts are a standout from this current collection. We have a mixed camo shirt, a wabash with some fine detailing, and a check flannel with indigo-dyed navy yarns.

The loopwheeled blank t-shirts are of the quality you'd expect from SDA with a rounded chest pocket and a true loopwheeled fabric that will become better with age. Make sure to check out the Nirvana t-shirt, it's a doozy.
