Show was good. Looking forward to the next episode. Is the comic worth reading?

+1 on the horse--set the tone that things can and will get very out of hand, very fast. Was hoping the horse was going to play more in the series.

Loved the first episode. Finally have a new show to follow now that LOST is over.

Show looks good so far. Here's to hoping they don't go too far off of the comic story line. To anyone who hasn't read the comic yet, read it, now. Its excellent.

+1 The graphic novel is amazing. I'm a little behind in it, but am going to try and catch up soon. My understanding is they are going to follow the comic's storyline for the most part, but mix it up every once in a while. Nothing drastic, just stuff that works better on TV and to keep it fresh for people who already know all the comic's story lines. If this show has legs I would love to see some other graphic novel series be turned into legit TV shows. I think Ex Machina would work well on TV and I may be a minority in saying this, but Sandman too. EDIT: Looks like it was the highest rated remire in AMC's history: http://io9.com/5678969/walking-dead-...n-amcs-history

I know... A show featuring zombies should make me sad, but damn it.

Disappointed about the lack of gore and guns but then again it's the first episode, plus it has a great story to tell, not just a blood and guts 2 hour special. Hopefully it doesn't drag on like LOST after the first 3 seasons. Also +1 on the park slug zombie, good scene.

while reading the letters column during one of the issues, this was addressed. the gap is smaller than a year, i believe 3-6 months so kirkman (author) didn't base the opening off of 28 days later. however, when the movie came out, he thought that it wouldn't get any comparisons to his comic so he left it the same.

great minds think alike.

This just started tonight in the UK. Incredible. I can't believe how brilliant the first episode was. The scene with the black guy's wife, and the production values are unreal.

The disembodied zombies are full on Romero Day of the dead. I hope it continues like this
