Other than having another person for manual labor, the risks of bringing a stranger into the group would seldom be offset by any potential gain - unless the person was a doctor or had some other expertise that was in dire need. It's another mouth to feed and a security risk. There isn't enough guns/ammo to arm everyone, if I remember correctly, so you do gain a body but any fighting they do on your behalf would have to be with a knife or improvised weapon.

Especially in light of the whole "you were right -- no, YOU were right!" conversation with Daryl in the truck, I think the "rationale" is the whole "if we lose touch with what makes us humans different from zombies, then the zombies have already won" meme, and the resulting tension with the "we protect our own at all costs" thing. Basically, it's another version of the the same supposed thematic tension that 24 kept trying to mine -- "do we let these strangers in or just kill them as the most expedient way to eliminate a potential threat" is TWD's version of "do I illegally torture this guy to make him tell me where the bomb is hidden?"

That was like an episode of Thirtysomething.

Filler. Looking forward to more Jesus though, I guess....oh fuck it I'm done with this show. Like GoT it's been on way too long, I'm bored. All in for The Expanse now.

Also, picking Sasha over Rosita? puzzled.gif

I don´t want Daryl to go. I don´t care he´s there for fanservice. Have Abraham meet Lucille.

The prob is that no one will really give a shit if Abe bites it. Not that he's on the level of useless as a Eugene or Spencer but if Negan is gonna make an impact, it has to be:

A) Daryl
B) Glenn
C) Maggie
D) Carl (highly doubt it)

It's gonna be such a cop-out if he ends up killing someone like Rosita or Carl's gf.....

The focus on Maggie's pregnancy seems to put Glenn in the crosshairs. Or, perhaps, some sort of self-sacrifice by Abe, given his sudden interest in the baby and newfound interest in finding his purpose.

I think the only legitimate choices are Glenn and Morgan. But I think it will ultimately be Glenn. While Daryl dying would be the ballsier move, I feel like with where the story is at, they need to keep him alive. Consider that Dwight stole his crossbow. From a narrative standpoint, it would make sense for Daryl to ultimately get that crossbow back. I don't think it will be Maggie, as Lauren Cohan has made comments about the finale that make it sound as if she'll still be on the show. Carl is never going to be killed off. I could see it being Morgan if only because of how they have made him a pacifist, which is something that will probably be used against him.

Not Daryl as they would lose half their audience.

Not Maggie as there would be a lot of ramifications to killing a pregnant woman.

Not Carl as he and Negan have business.

Maybe Glenn for the fanbots.

Maybe Abe since gingers are worth less than norms.

Maybe Morgan if the actor wants off this POS show.

I vote for Gimple.

Agreed. He's having all of these sensitive feelings and is getting soft. He will hesitate in a dangerous situation and be killed.

Morgan might die, but he wouldn't really count because his story line has already played out and he's basically irrelevant other than to add a bit of variety to battle scenes with his Stick Fighter act.

He does serve as a significant death that doesn't upset the core group. Could be one of the chicks that I can't tell apart. But, then who would notice that one was gone.

It's kind of sad that's all anyone cares about. Not the story, plot, characters - just who's gonna die at the hands of Negan - the shittiest bad guy in the history of comics. The convoluted and ultimate Negan storyline was what made me stop skimming the comics.

Just cut to the chase and have Negan kill someone next week so we can all have the spring off.
