Negan is alive, he was never in any of the scenes shown thus far.

Will tease Neagan all year, then reveal him in the final episode, basically wasting away a season of storytelling.

I love Garrett Dillahunt. Francis Wolcott was probably the greatest villain I ever saw on TV, but how in the world could they even have considered him for Negan?

Also, shouldn't the zombies be pretty much gone by now? I know everyone who dies becomes a zombie, but the vast majority of those herds were formed while Rick was taking a nap before the show even started. They should be well decomposed by now.

The weaponized virus that started this whole thing contained the same highly dangerous chemical that keeps McDonald's food from rotting after six years.

I am glad they did not draw out the biker encounter, that was pretty hilarious....same with sam for that matter.

I propose we spend the next four pages debating how "realistic" it was that Daryl was able to use that rocket launcher to surgically destroy every single one of the bikers without harming his friends.

^ Wrong. They had hearing problems afterwards.

I'd like to give Sam's mom hearing problems, ifyouknowwhatimean.

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense, but so what?
I'd like Sam's mom to give me a hand job, if you know what i mean.

Oh wait....

Speaking of which, Carl really knows how to take a shot to the face, doesn't he?

Shit with Jesus dude and the truck was six ways stupid. The rest was Ok, pretty much just seemed like filler.
That was the worst scene of the episode.

Rick backing the truck up to the edge of the lake. Why?

Rick acknowledging that the guy saved Daryl's life -- presumably because he saw it unfold, yet didn't care to a) dispose of the walker before it got to Daryl, or, more realistically if he was far away, b) yell at Daryl to watch his back.

Oh, and what happened to the black Chrysler 300 they had? They just ditched it in favor of the truck? Why not have one person driving each vehicle?

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. It's stupid shit like this that makes no sense other than to advance lazy story writing that detracts from the rest of the show.

At least Rick is slaying pussy like no other in this post-apocalyptic world.

Looking forward to having Jesus on the show, but agreed that the truck stuff was pretty dumb. The sort of thing that might have been expected from Rick and Daryl in the early seasons, but certainly not now. Felt like an entirely different show vs last week just in general tone. Seems to be a lack of consistency when they switch writers/directors week to week.

As it was happening I thought the broken down truck was a trap for Rick and Daryl - Jesus had met up with a few others and staged the flat tire to draw them in. Jesus somehow wound up on the roof of the truck 5 seconds after being bound with a rope. I'm not sure what the rationale is behind Rick wanting to recruit more people. Other than having another person for manual labor, the risks of bringing a stranger into the group would seldom be offset by any potential gain - unless the person was a doctor or had some other expertise that was in dire need. It's another mouth to feed and a security risk. There isn't enough guns/ammo to arm everyone, if I remember correctly, so you do gain a body but any fighting they do on your behalf would have to be with a knife or improvised weapon. I suppose it's Rick's fascination with returning to a somewhat normal society in which you can trust people again.
