We're into the Warlord phase now. Ricks small outgunned group against the Governors heavily armed group. Like two competing Dojo's in an old Bruce Lee movie ;-) The Governor has more people, (73) but most of them are by-stander civilians, he has about as many soldiers as Rick, since everyone with Rick is a soldier. Plus, add in Andrea and Michonne, (and yes Michonnes' grimace is already getting old). So how does Rick out think the Governor and how many episodes does it take until they prevail? The remainder of the season? 

 

I thought the Gov was just a politician or that his secret was that he was maybe an escaped criminal who is loving it and making the most of the new paradigm. But the end of the last nights episode with the heads in the jars, WTF? Just a straight up psycho?

In the comics he had his daughter(who was turned), locked up in a room and always visited her/fed her.

Yeah, I like the subtle differences between the show and the comic- but they're generally keeping up. I'd like to see Carl develop a bit further. He's a bit annoying (just like he is in the comic) but he gets pretty fucked up psychologically, so this isn't really surprising.

Would also be interesting to see if the Governor's 'community' is the same community that move into after the prison is overrun. Hopefully they don't dottle at the prison too much, though. Pretty annoying how long they stayed at the farmhouse- really dragged out that plot.

The prison gets overrun? I've never read the comix so I don't know the storyline. (My speculations are purely off the TV show) Got to be the Gov. behind that dastardly deed, right?  So I'm gonna say Rick & crew eventually fight the Gov. and take over his town.

I've been following the show since its inception. After so many episodes of things progressively getting worse, the general decay of society and using the microcosm of what's left in society (Rick's group) to highlight social issues, I can only take so much half glass empty. It's quite clear even without reading the comic books that things will end poorly for everyone who survived.

walkers always get the jump on them! WTF. They're in Rick's line of sight and yet the walkers still get a good twenty feet on the group and are only discovered after Carl turns around and sees them?!?!?!

Having said that, the last 2 minutes of the episode were amazing. Lincoln does not get enough credit. What an amazingly directed and acted scene.
