My apologies in advance if this question has already been answered.
I own a pair of shoes from a very reputable shoe maker whose name I don't want to mention because they frequent this forum. The particular pair that I purchased from them is hand-lasted and I noticed that one shoe fits slightly larger than the other (about 1/4 size). I know that most peoples' feet are slightly different sizes but in this case, the shoe fits roomier on my larger foot. This leads me to believe that the leather wasn't lasted as taught on this shoe. Is this something that is a common by-product of the hand-made nature of the shoes rather than an indication of poor workmanship? Is there anything that can be done to remedy this aside from remaking the shoes from scratch?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
