You're just now getting the impression that Danny's a "character"? You're far less jaded than I am. But he's amusing and non-offensive, so rock on Beach Boy . . .

Cuddling, hippies, and the Beach Boys... and now Jamaican accents? I'm missing the semi-normal part of your statement here.

Yeah, burn a coat, make a kite or something, this is getting old...

Well, the only other posts I remember by him was that one about California music. I'd forgotten that the cuddling one was his, which sort of takes the semi-normal out of the equation. I'm just pointing out that trolls around here seem to like to create a bit of a false sense of security, for lack or a better term, then ramp up the irritation.

But I agree with j, this is much less amusing than Ernest's Corneliani bonfire or Vaclav's hyper-embrace of the Trad.

haha, you should go to south jamaica queens in new york and try out your jamaican accent wearing your beach boys outfit. i'm sure you will make friends quickly.

I've had my suspicions for a while now, but he's a funny guy, troll or no.

Hey guys-

I am sorry if I caused you so much trouble its just I read this topic http://www.styleforum.net/archive/index.php/t-9889.html after a search and decided it was the place for me..

Its hard enough being a dreamer alone but its worse feeling like ET in a place that cant accept an original .. -I guess i'm learning what it was like for Brian Wilson.

"Don't worry about a thing, every little thing is gonna be alright"

I'm not seeing how copying other people's styles makes you an original... and faking a Jamaican accent makes you a loser, sorry bud.

You do, of course, realize that that is one the most pretentious things ever written.

I'm liking Danny Wilson. His head might in the clouds but he sure has his fantasies which we all have in various ways. There are worse perversions than wanting to live out someones talents or idealisms. Remember when we all wanted to be John, Paul, George or Ringo. Same thing. My dream right now is to speeding down the pike in my new silver Porsch but thats way out there right now.
I live by this (I think I made this one up) If you don't have dreams, you'll only have nightmares.

Midnight to six man
For the first time from Jamaica
Dillinger and Leroy Smart
Delroy Wilson, your cool operator

Ken Boothe for UK pop reggae
With backing bands sound systems
And if they've got anything to say
There's many black ears here to listen

But it was Four Tops all night with encores from stage right
Charging from the bass knives to the treble
But onstage they ain't got no roots rock rebel
Onstage they ain't got no...roots rock rebel

Dress back jump back this is a bluebeat attack
'Cos it won't get you anywhere
Fooling with your guns
The British Army is waiting out there
An' it weighs fifteen hundred tons

White youth, black youth
Better find another solution
Why not phone up Robin Hood
And ask him for some wealth distribution

Punk rockers in the UK
They won't notice anyway
They're all too busy fighting
For a good place under the lighting

The new groups are not concerned
With what there is to be learned
They got Burton suits, ha you think it's funny
Turning rebellion into money

All over people changing their votes
Along with their overcoats
If Adolf Hitler flew in today
They'd send a limousine anyway

I'm the all night drug-prowling wolf
Who looks so sick in the sun
I'm the white man in the Palais
Just lookin' for fun

I'm only
Looking for fun
