Does anybody use their indoor grill? - Page 2

Unless you've got one hell of a hood I really wouldn't recommend it. I don't have one.

My indoor grill crapped out after I got it and I totally moved to outdoor cooking. I burn through 2 propane tanks a month on average and in the Summer, more. I grill almost every evening. Nice when you are hanging by the pool after work, having a cocktail. Especially for fish which sometimes makes the house smell, well, fishy.

I used the George Foreman grill when I had one...primarily for chicken breast. It was pretty easy to get consistent results.

I don't have easy access to an outdoor grill, so for steaks etc. it's the ol' cast-iron pan & oven treatment.

I agree with the comment of having a powerful hood -- I have a friend who uses the indoor grill all the time. He's got what appears to be a commercial hood too. No smoke or smell in the house at all.

Yeah, less than 1000CFM would not be a good idea. That's what mine is, and I would consider it the absolute minimum. ~H
