Absinthe/Pernod Absinthe

I realize this question is a reach...

Anybody know if there is a bar/club in Minneapolis/Twin Cities is set up to serve traditional absinthe/pernod absinthe? Louche and all?

I'm pretty sure The Nomad on Ceder does or at least did. I've had it there. I'll ask a friend of mine for you though, he is more into Absinthe than I am.

Thanks- I had heard they "used to do invite-only" absinthe parties.

I don't know. If it was, I certainly wasn't invited; I just met someone for drinks on a random Thursday night and they had everything set up. This was about a year ago mind you, so I can't vouch for them having it today. Worth a phone call though.

Its not that hard to do your own louche though and there is a pretty decent selection of absinthe available locally. I have St. George and one other, whose name is escaping me, at home now.

Surdyks was one of the first places to sell absinthe in the country...I have to imagine there would be somewhere
