I went like 1-7 in Platinum and somehow was promoted to Diamond. WTF?

I guess I'm in the minority about this, but I was disappointed with the SC2 singleplayer. The gameplay was great, but the story seemed like it was written by a twelve year old. Logical flaws, poor dialogue and over the top heroic moments around every corner, the most ridiculous being the "epic" Raynor speech on Char. I also hate the cartoony art style Blizzard is apparently doing in every game now.

Just read that there were going to be two more expansions, first zerg then protoss. Don't know about dates though.

This article suggests it'll be 18 months for the next expansion, and so likely 36 months for the second (protoss) - as per the SC2 lead producer. But Blizzard are so notorious for changing ETAs (or not giving them at all) that it is hard to say, though since the actual game is already complete it's probably more likely that these expansions will be 'on schedule' than would be the case if it was an entirely new game.

this is the 7-loss-bug that I found in beta and I'm not kidding. you dont get promoted until you have made 7 losses, while these don't count for your stats for your placement. I was first of my league for 4 days and 20 games while having way more points than 2nd place. I advanced when I had 7 losses. due to the many resets while in beta this happened 3 times to me ..

agree with you, the story is completly boring and predictable. But the presentation and the mission design was really nice.

but its about multiplayer anyways.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the whole story', books are well known for having an infinite amount of sequels with no real 'conclusion', I don't see how this is any different. It's like complaining that [lotr spoiler]frodo didn't throw the ring into the fires of mount doom until 'return of the king', 2 years after the 'fellowship of the ring'[/lotr spoiler], there is still plenty of story on how that came to be so it's silly to neglect the whole franchise because the conclusion took a while to get to. Really if you are to complain about anything, it shouldn't be a lack of a 'conclusion', rather it should be a lack of substance within the story so far, if you weren't happy with it.
