Looks a pretty solid line up - decent subs too.

Looks good apart from Mascherano - great defensive midfielder but a) I can't see him staying at Liverpool, and b) the game favours attacking midfielders points wise. Of course if he isn't sold until after the 14th, you could gain a bit of cash from an increase in value...

Will Mark Hughes be good or bad for Fulham?

I think he's a fairly safe pair of hands - Hodgson has built up a decent team, although it could be stronger. A lot depends on how much money he'll have to play with.

I want 11 Craig Bellamys to maximize points awarded for bar fights.

Just look to his time at Blackburn for the answer. Obviously I'm biased, but I think he'll do an excellent job for Fulham.

Depending on what he cost, I would definitely trade in Zamora. I doubt he'll be able to replicate last season's form.

And attacking teammates with a golf club.

If you want the most thuggish team he'd be up there, but you'd have to add Joey Barton - at least one conviction for assault, Andy Carroll (broke team mates jaw), Lee Bowyer (on and off pitch trouble).

I'm sure that finding 11 players you wouldn't want to spend anytime with wouldn't be difficult.

Tricky call (and with Tevez & Defoe on his front the third striker needn't be as strong). Last seaon Zamora was superb, and even with his current cost he looks good value if he's even close to repeating that form. He was a solid point scorer the previous season as well.

I wish I had a crystal ball - I'm not expecting Darren Bent to do as well this year (the lack of big club interest in him suggests I'm not alone), Torres could be stunning if he avoids injury (big if), I've a feeling Rooney might have already peaked, N'Gog could do much better if played regularly (another if). Putting my money where my mouth is my selections are Tevez, Rodallega with Carroll as sub, Whether Carroll is good enough for the big boys league, and whether Rodallega can repeat last year's form are big unknowns, and I reserve the right to change my line up if the right transfers come through! If Tottenham do get Suarez then he's definitely on my wish list!

Lan-WIN FC

A few gambles with Chamakh and Tuncay, but what the hell.

Chamakh's record seems similar to Berbatov's (maybe slightly better) - could be a good move. Not familiar with Tuncay, but you can always play Bale instead without the cost of a transfer.

Back Four: A Cole, Woodgate, Terry, Skrtel, back up Foley
Midfield: Park, Eboue, Gerrard (C), Bale, back up Song
Forwards: Drogba, Bent, back up McFadden

I would also like to preface this season by saying that I did not read the rules nor have I ever done this before so I have no idea if my team will be amazing or pathetic. Here's to having fun and hoping for a good result!

Made a few changes, put Sagna in for A Cole and Lampard in for Gerrard.

And Bowyer for Eboue

I think Cole has the edge over Sagna (although Sagna is a solid performer). Lampard definitely has the edge over Gerrard, but even with an injury hit season last year Gerrard scored well. Bowyer had an excellent season last year, if he can maintain it he's a bargain...
