^ I love Portishead too. If you haven't heard them yet, check out Zero 7. First album, Simple Things, from 2001.

I wouldn't consider either one of these songs to sound dated. To me they are both timeless, and very good.

In fact, I just dusted off a lot I hadn't listened to in a loooong time and loaded it up on my Mac and into my iPhone. I'm embarrassed to admit I still like some Moby stuff.
Good call on the Mazzy Star. Don't be embarrassed by the Moby call. Play is pretty good, but Everything is Wrong is a seminal techno album. Feeling so Real is just a great song.

Simple Things is good, but I prefer When it Falls. Also, back to the original topic how about Six Underground by the Sneaker Pimps.

Good point. I guess my listings were more of a great songs from the 90's. The Cardigans Loverfool, Jamiroquai's Virtual Insanity, and Radiohead's Creep are all awesome songs, but definitely sound dated.

Dummy could not sound more 1995-96 short of including Re-elect Clinton ads between tracks.
