Damn man, you know that Dre had back to back singles of "California Love" and "No Diggity"? Talk about poppy hip-hop home runs. Both are incredible productions.

+1 on No Diggity. Also, Hypnotize. I was at a club on saturday where the DJ spun up all these 90's hip-hop hits, it was amazing. Edit: And also "Pony"

Walk by Pantera - awesome riff. Killing in the Name of - RATM (actually the whole self titled album has aged well I think.)

Hypnotize is such a sick beat.

I think my favorite outro of all time is the 2 minutes that end Heresy. That said, most Pantera has not aged well because Anselmo's voice is really not something that is ever heard these days (still love them though).

Cornelius from 69/96 onwards
Gravediggaz' debut album. In fact, Prince Paul had a rather prolific decade
Practically every Dust Brothers production and remix
The Electro-Shock Blues album by Eels
Bis' Social Dancing album
The Timbaland/Missy Elliott/Aaliyah axis was quite the forward looking concern
'Brooklyn's Finest' by Jay-Z ft. Biggie
Shiina Ringo's first album, Muzai Moratorium
Who knows why, but the second and third albums by The Chemical Brothers. And the debut by Basement Jaxx. Nuances, I suppose

I find that a portion of the decade's independent hip hop has become somewhat dated - all those concerns about authenticity and making the most bare bones productions would have that effect
