New York City Sunday Shopping

Hi all,

I'm headed to NYC for a one day trip on Sunday. I was wondering if any New Yorkers could give me some hints on where I should go shopping up at NYC on a Sunday Afternoon. To give you an idea of where my budgets are, I'd be looking at essentially BB price levels or below. I'd be interested also in places to look at shoes like AE, Alden, and British makers that might have a sale (Saks off 5th?). Just want to make the most of my little expedition. Thank you!

Personally i would hit up SOHO or UpTown by Lexington Ave and Rockefeller Center. I am doing the samething, i.e. going to hit up some shops on a Sunday. PM me for details.

I actually am looking to do the same thing in the coming weeks. Since badsha brought up Soho, I am curious, can you score designer stuff cheaper there than in most places? (I am from Philadelphia, if anyone can reference that).

I think this is sarcasm? Stay away from Macy's. Swamped by tourists and nothing in there is worth the effort in my opinion. But then again, that's just my opinion. With regards to SoHo I think it's definitely worth a visit. Really great buzz about the place at night. Also, Uniqlo is in Soho although I hear they are opening a 5th ave. store in the future.

it depends what your looking for and what your willing to spend. There is a great LV store there that has caught my attention so to each his own. Since i wear mainly polo Macy's is a great place for me seeing how i usually find clearance/.discounted items for dirt cheap!!!!

Madison in the 60's is a great start --- Barney's, Beretta, Bergdorf, etc. have great sales at the moment 60%+ off...

I think most places close early on Sunday, like 5 or 6 so you should get started earlier than later.
