This. When I first moved out, me and my ex bought like everything from thrift stores for a few bucks and did a few of the free courses they offered in Australia at Bunnings (think Home Depot)...we restored a whole bunch of clapped out old shit to the point where we used to get compliments on how cool our art deco furniture was. We ended up selling it at a decent profit when we moved to Asia.

Yeah, when I refer to kijiji it is essentially what you guys mean when you refer to craigslist. Where I'm at, craigslist is dead, and kijiji is what everyone uses.

I actually spent today house-hunting in downtown Toronto (I'm a U of T student). I used craigslist, not kijiji, but a lot of people recommended I use kijiji anyway, I think found a pretty reasonable place
