I think if you have to ask yourself "am i going too far?" it is generally pretty certain that you are, indeed, going too far.

The only place in the world that these Yuke's make any sense is in the territories of Northern Canada. I had a fishing guide (white guy) wearing a pair. No comment from the local wolf pack, so they didn't seem to care.

Haha, yes to far for my taste. But it's your choice. I don't know what kind of style you go for. Visvim makes similar stuff that I think looks better, but both brands are of course very pricey. One shoe brand I've actually have considered having proxied from Japan (despite being a student and despite buying shoes on internet, and especially from Japan via proxy, is risky) is Russel Moccasin. Beautiful shoes that look very well made. I have a pair of Yuketen russel mocs, bought quite cheap on ebay, Im quite happy with them, but small parts of the crepe sole has fallen off already after a year's use.
