New Charles Tyrwhitt Shoes - Page 4

Since I missed the last big CT sale by a matter of days (and sizes), I am anxious to pick up the wholecuts this time around. A few questions:

How should these be sized, or is it still too early to make any determination? I am between a 10-10.5 and the during the last CT sale I believe the agreed upon sizing was to go to a 9.5 (1 full size down).

Do people think these are going to go as fast as they did during the last sale? This is my first CT sale that I might be able to get in on and during the last one sizes went extremely quickly ($85 a shoe helped too). I believe this is beginning of season though as opposed to the end of season blowout that just passed, however I don't want to wait around and miss out again on shoes that I really want.

I would love to see more real world pics of these wholecuts as soon as someone receives them. I still prefer the Norwich toe shape to the new wholecuts, but the cherry color is indeed excellent (as far as pictures represent).

This is not a clearance sale and these are new shoes. I don't think you need to worry about them selling out just now.

But don't quote me on it if they do.

compared to the new CT wholecut:

In any case, I now want cherry-coloured wholecuts

Edit:
If these are part of a new Loake line, I may look to get them from Pediwear with the Loake club discount if they come out tobe cheaper that way.

I passed by Tyrwhitt on my way home from Saks and they have the new shoes (wholecut, blutcher, wingtip). First is that they are definitely Loake. Same sole stitching, rubber insert on heel, nail pattern and everything else. Second, the cherry wholecuts are almost definitely the same lasts as the Norwich. The medallion is larger (too large) and the cherry leather is nicely done. Due to the large medallion, the shoe looks rounder at the toe and less sleek then the Norwich. Overall, a nice shoe and might even be a must have at the real low sales prices but the Norwich is a better looking shoe, although in pics the cherry wholecut wins out. The new wingtip is nice and the two hole (laces) blutcher is OK.

I ordered my wholecuts yesterday, so they should be here shortly. I usually wear a 10us or 10.5us buy I ordered a 9.5us, because I ordered a 10us last go around, and it was too big. I will take pictures when the shoes come in.

I know hell is going to freeze over and pigs are going to fly with me saying this... but those calf leather wholecuts are brogues I would be most happy to own.

I already explained myself to you through PM, Quirk. I don't see any purpose in bringing the discussion here.

You initiated it here, I tried to be fair, responsible and polite enough to address it by PM, but got nothing but protestations of your 'right' to address me as you please. So it will finally end here in public where - for reasons only you know - you began it. Enough.

Um... okay?
