i caught one episode and really liked it. a little stagey for bbc, but still far from a fox production.

I had never heard of this chain until I had breakfast at one in the English sticks a few years ago. Spectacularly awful. Go Heston.

Oh God it hurts. Why would you make me envision that?

I don't even know why they brought in Blumenthal instead of another top chef. The menu changes really didn't reflect the style of cooking he's so famous for. Instead, it was more about a return to basics with better ingredients.

Has there been any updates since the show ended on how well Little Chef is doing now?

Its just so disappointing what happened to Kitchen Nightmares, which was one of my favorite show even though Ramsay never really tried to work with the owner/chef's vision.

Yeah. It was basically Kitchen Nightmares with less arguments and thankfully no topless shots of Heston.

That's b/c the chefs/owners visions always put them hundreds of thousands in debt, whereas Ramsay's simple but delicious style has made him an absolute baller.

According to Wiki, there was a follow-up filmed about nine months later but I haven't seen it.

um, isn't this a really old series? like a year+? if I remember correctly he tried to help them out, they resisted giving him any actual power to change anything, then they pretended to be committed by letting him redo one store, the big boss comes over and says how great it is, PR stunt, then thanks and goodbye, nothing changes. I'd rather be watching Jamie's School Dinners.

So I guess you never saw his series "In Search of Perfection"? It should enlighten you.

Not exactly. That's the way it looked in the middle but the management came around. The trial was a success. According to Wiki, in the followup they show how the new menu was rolled out to several other locations and is in the process of going chain-wide.
