Weird big eggs

I can't remember what animal it's from - ostrich or whatnot, but often I see very large eggs of different colors for sale at whole foods.

Does one simply make scrambled eggs out of these things or is there something a little wilder that you can do with them?

And is the taste more gamey as the meat is too or just richer?

odd big there on duck eggs ... the few that I've poached have been the creamiest that have ever emerged from simmering water in my kitchen. They were fantastic.

I've had duck and quail. I'm talking about something much bigger...possibly even blue. I've never seen anyone prepare it and wonder what it's about.

but how do you crack the egg??

I saw a show where they used ostrich eggs and it was the equivalent of something like 20 regular eggs. They used it in an omelette I believe. But I aint trying that shit.

If they were blue then they were emu eggs.

Once saw a porn movie in a love hotel where they cracked ostrich eggs and dumped them on a girl's face. It was very very strange to say the least. That said, I heard it is good for your hair.

It was in a display of egg oddities. At least one was blue. There was another one that was bigger. Much bigger so I assumed it was ostrich. I really didn't pay attention.

Screw it, I'll buy that thing and cook it in someone else's apt and tell you all how weird it is.

I once saw a thing on the internet where they tried to make a scotch egg using an ostrich egg. Ended up being about the size of a basketball.

The only eggs that you're likely to find between chicken and ostrich size would be duck or goose. Noone sells turkey eggs though. Why is that?
