The bash a retailer thread

I think we need a place to bash retailers who do us wrong. Its important that we use our social media connections to get the word out about shady dealings. Since we are all class acts, this isn't going to be about how you don't like the stitching on the fall line, or how some sales clerk was snotty, but about how you were done wrong.


Edit your thread if its resolved. Keep it civil-ish. Give a description of what happened.


I will start:

Dont shop with www.yugster.com.

Deals are good, but I ordered something that took 1) 7 days to ship 2) was shipped fed-ex but never 'scanned' 3) when I contacted them, I was told that it can take up to 3 weeks and that its ok if fed-ex doesnt scan things (yeah right). 4) I was then told it would definitvely be coming yesterday (I asked if they had a magic tracking number). Obviously its still not here. Now, instead of resending it (its been over 3 weeks at this point), they are now out of the item, and if its still not here in a week (4 weeks) they will issue me a refund. Geez thanks.

I've heard tons of bad things about Endless.com, on the other hand, Newegg has always been good to me.

I'm kind of over taking chances on internet purchases now. I either have a strong history with them, or I don't pull the trigger.

Same here. I have a short list, and if I can't find what I need from them, then I'm not likely to try a new site.

Agreed on Newegg, they are great, especially compared to tigerdirect...both pretty big and pretty popular, but Id never buy on tigerdirect, I just go there to read reviews.

I was really unhappy with gaffos.com, especially because they're a Styleforum affiliate. I did eventually get my glasses, but it took them 2 weeks to ship ("promised" next day shipping), my calls/emails were ignored (no response to the 2 emails I sent, phone was disconnected), and I was charged shipping even though shipping on 99+ was free (the glasses were 99.99, so I really can't fault them for that though).
