You nailed it! I went on a couple dates, and lets say the advertising was very misleading. I especially hate the angle shots to hide the fat.

The OKCupid blog shot showed that, on average, the pics women posted were very dated. That's a lot of eatin time.

Why is it that women "lie" or hide their fatness? I've never understood this. Deceptive advertising has always been shown to be highly irritating to "customers".

Hence, by not being forthcoming, sure, she's going to get the guy to come out on the date, but he's going to be pretty disappointed when he sees her fatness and either, (1) treat her like the piglet that she is, or (2) worse, depending on the uncouthness of the guy. There is no upside to this behavior.

Another nail in the coffin of women and reason...

And to the comments on how guys lie about their height--that's really a very minor point, since we all know:

Men value highly<------------------------->Women Value Highly
woman's face + tits + ass + body <-------------> Guys' wallet size (Relation 1)

That's where the hotness really lies for both.

Men value moderately<--------->Women Value Moderately
Woman has a decent job <--------------> Guy is tall (Relation 2)

(i.e. nice feature, but not absolutely critical, esp. if reasonably there), and of course having the other high value asset (see Relation 1) will offset any shortcoming in this area 100% for both parties.

I met some of the founders at the Okcupid party last week. They are quite interesting. I didnt realize they were the same guys who did spark notes.
