Always thought Ford's wide peaks and loud patterns were reminiscent of Tommy Nutter's stuff.

Here are a couple shots of my Morty Sills. This suit was made in 1976.

I've thought the same. It is pretty funny after hearing all of the OTR, and MTM horror stories to remember him saying that he wanted his suit line to be the woman's "couture dress" of men's suits, where you are unable to get a better quality suit, period. Nutter's stuff could runs circles around Ford's.

And some mtm suit makers (like www.magnoliclothiers.com www.baronboutique.com ) who make something similar for circa $500.

Thanks for the heads-up on the other forums. Magnoli is actually the MTM suit maker I was planning on using. I haven't heard any bad things and my expectations are realistic, so I can't see any major downside.

I wanted to get a sense of the Tom Ford look in the event that I decided to go down the street and have the suits done there. I'm still a little hesitant on the internet mtm thing. I would prefer to be measured by the person who is actually making the suit, that way if something goes wrong I know it wasn't MY measuring.

Very nice. Is that the real article or did you have the look replicated by someone else?

The shoulders and lapels are very similar to my Sills.

i had it made in vietnam. 150 dollars and it came with an extra set of trousers and 3 free MTM shirts naww, it's TF. i just thought id post it because i spent a couple hours last night looking for a picture of a real person wearing TF on this site who isn't brad pitt or a model. i didn't come across any except for AvariceBespoke and we all know how that went... so i thought this could help you figure out what you're looking for the chest is quite structured. at first my untrained hand thought it was fused. i've been on and off as to whether or not i like this suit. at first i thought it was a little too tommy nutterish but it's grown on me and now i look forward to wearing it this winter. the trousers are very full so i plan on getting them tailored.

Wow! I can't believe this suit is from 1976. It looks very modern and stylish. Are the pants flared or funky in some way? And by the way, why does Morty Sills sound familiar to me?
