Any men's clothing by Tom Ford is a farce and a caricature, plain and simple. What Tom Ford attempts to do now is an ideological contradiction. The man knows nothing about real mens clothing, anyone around the row on a semi-regular basis could catch him running around the shops looking for details to steal. He designed dresses and whatnot based on aesthetics, now wants to make mens clothes which is based on craftsmanship? Yea, right.

To answer your question, the look is chopped pieces of zegnas suits, with obnoxious and hilarious peaked lapels, and vents I believe.

How long did it take you to come up with that one? Because it sucked. But let me give you a reply that answers your question. Its point less to try to get specifications of the suit here to try to relay it to a tailor that would do it for less. You will not be happy with the result. Unless you buy the suit and they tear it apart to make a pattern, and see construction details, and info in this thread or others is essentially pointless. Peak lapels and vent is all a cheaper tailor will understand. Furthermore, the chest is stiffer because there could be as many as 3 layers of canvas as opposed to 0-2. Again, you would not know without either calling Zegna up and asking or buying the suit and taking it apart. Beggers cant be choosers so either take what information is given to you or get a school loan and buy a crappy tom ford suit to wear or to copy.

It took me about 0.3 seconds. Or, about as long as it seems you are capable of going without spitting a thick stream of vitriol about Tom Ford. Which, by the way, I couldn't give more than half-a-shit about. Your original post didn't respond to the question I originally posed. Nor did your second, though you seem to think it did. How you think so, I don't know. Since my question asked about the "Tom Ford look", not about your personal opinions on whether or not a tailor could replicate it. You are entitled to your opinion, of course. But don't hijack my thread with some TF bashing just because you don't like what the man does. And relax. They're just clothes.

Morty Sills sounds familiar because he was a famous NY Tailor and you probably heard the line from Wall Street that goes something like "and don't come in here looking like that again. Get a decent suit. Go to Morty Sills, tell him I sent you."

The pants are not flared at all, as a matter of fact they are nicely tapered. The suit was a total score. It is really well made, in perfect condition and I snagged it for $20 on E-Bay. It is very structured in the chest and it is a tight fitting suit.
