Should I or shouldn't I buy... (clothing item)? - Page 10

Considering this sports coat in 100% Angelico linen. Price at sale is 14.000 yen (a little over 100 euros). Maker is Taka-Q, Japanese mid-range chain brand.

Fits me pretty well, and I do not yet own a plaid sports coat (besides from one glenplaid and one windowpane suit jacket).

The competing candidate would be this piece from Suit Supply, at 260 euros:

This one is in a Wool Silk Linen fabric by EThomas (It), which is clearly more versatile then pure linen.

I like the Suit Supply one better.

Agreed.

Question is if I need both then.

Answer is, probably no.

Thinking about ordering this "ink" coloured Birdseye suit from Indochino....

Not bad.  But don't like the colour.  Prefer a bluer one. And without the bow-tie.

I actually had the johnston and Murphy in burgandy think I paid like 70$ at DSW. IVE only worn THEM MAYBE 3 times and they were terribly uncomftable. I ended up giving them to a friend who needed some shoes for an interview.

Clicked on this thread from the homepage by accident, thinking it was the SW&D thread with the exact same title.

Maybe change the title slightly to avoid confusion?

Ok so I settled for these Cole Haan Lenox Cap Toe Shoes because the reviews on J&M aren't too good, and I've already owned the Calvin Klein which I'm going to replace with another pair. http://m.macys.com/shop/product/cole-haan-lenox-hill-cap-toe-oxfords?ID=1321860&CategoryID=65

I have a few pairs of cole haan that I like. But for around 200$ you may be able to get some Allen edmond seconds from a outlet store or even ebay if your familiar with your sizing.

I like both, but while wool-silk-linen is definitely more versatile than pure linen, the peak lapels and bold check counter any versatility advantage. Something to consider.

Whoa, didn't notice the Taka-Q vs SS question was from back in September. Presumably he's made up his mind by now, disregard...

What do you guys think of this sportcoat to wear casual with e.g. jeans.
