How much of your music collection do you listen to?

So I have 30 gb of music, 4835 songs. Of those I only like about 3500. But for some reason, I don't delete the other music, just keep thinking that in the future, in some situation, I'll want to listen to it.

I'm sure there are people out there with most wasteful ratios than I.

I have about a hundred and fifty LPs. I like them all. I occasionally purge the stuff I don't care for and replace it with new stuff.

1.17 TB of FLAC at the moment. I have about 180 songs in my current playlist.

70GB, 31 days (11227 songs) but I listen to most of it (a lot of my collection is complete discographies and I like the artist so I listen to most of it) Maybe 200 or so songs that I really don't listen to, as in I will skip them the moment they come on. Other than that, if it comes on when I'm in the mood to listen to it I do (though the songs that I really like I listen to a hell of a lot more than others and there's a number of songs that don't have any plays)

Probably around 100-200gbs. How much do I listen to in a given month? Maybe 1gb.

holy crap, that's alot of music

I have 20 gb's and I thought that was alot.

Anyways to answer the question, about 200 in my playlist now that I listen to. But I switch it out often, maybe every 1-2 weeks. I usually just end up listening to the beatles though

My friends went on a downloading spree a few years ago, filled up a few external HDs, and then we all swapped music. To be honest I never even listened to half of it.

116.3GB, 30.6 days (once upon a time I started re-ripping my CDs in Apple Lossless... then I got lazy and stopped - now only new stuff goes in as Lossless) There's a lot of shit I should get rid of, but I don't see much reason. Storage might as well be free - why not keep those five Arab Strap albums even though I only listen to four songs?

Can't tell the difference between 320kbps and lossless, imo (unless you blast it through a really top notch system) especially given the size difference

I've got about 100 real cds. I've got about 500 lossless cds I copied from the local library, but I haven't listened to them in forever. Both sets are in a closet at my parents' house. It's good stuff. I should sell them for cheap in B&S to a young person with aspirations for quality material. I have about 300 albums on my computer instead. 100 classical/jazz. 200 rock/soul/pop/blues. I listen to new ones and delete ones I don't like.

100 cds plus online downloading leading to about 15K sings total. Haven't listend to alot of them. I get into random cycles where I only listen to 300 songs over and over then on to the next cluster.

About 30g of popular/common music from various genres. I listen to about 15 minutes at most a month from that section. Something like 3g of classical or piano works. Only really listen to Erik Satie out of it all. About 160g of electronic. I used to have tons of records and CDs from this genre but sold them all. Listen to this daily, mostly from my ~300 song ambient playlist as background music. Or from my "new" playlist which is just my most recently acquired albums. I make sure to give every album a few good listens before removing it from the new playlist. Don't like downloading or buying a billion albums at once and never listening to them until many months later. It's too overwhelming and too difficult to appreciate it all. What's the point of having them then?

ugh. We have probably 200-300 CD's in the house, plus downloaded, plus files that just wound up with us, totaling around 50-60 gb. And I doubt we listen to even 10% of it all in a given year, and a good part we've not heard ever.

I've got around 400 albums. I probably listen to 10% on the regular basis. Another 40% get listened to occasionally, and the other 50% is once every other year or so.
