We are visiting some friends in denver over labor day weekend (who moved there after graduation partly because of the variety of outdoor activities...thus removing my outdoors friends) and we aren't even going camping in the mountains although I am pushing for at least heading out to pikes peak.

Previous suggestions to go ski were also met with a lack of enthusiasm. Hell, I can't even get them to go to canada so even if you and I were friends...they would not visit.
