Are you happy with how your life is going

Just wondering, overall how do you feel about how your life is going.

Seems to be a number of introspective threads going around these days.

Might add a poll.

Better .. applied to grad school's over the winter .. and was only accepted to my back-up school until about a month ago when I got into one of my "man would I love to go there" schools. Lot's of career potential from the new school.

I have absolutely no reason to complain. I have a great wife who is carrying a healthy son, a nice house, and a job that sets me up perfectly for my long-term career goals. There are probably always going to be things I'd change if I could, and I'm sure I'll hit harder times at some point, but I'm very fortunate. Good life trajectory goin' on down here.

Life is certainly nowhere where I would like to be, but hopefully it will come in due course. I've worked my ass off from a major family tragedy about 4 or so years ago (when I was 14ish) till now (18), and I will continue to work hard for as long as it takes to attain the lifestyle that I wish to have. It's been a tough road, and it's not gonna get any better in the next couple years, but I am doing my best to ensure I can dig myself out of the hole that being poor has put me in.

sunday I woke up early in the morning, went to the bike trails and had a good run. went home had lunch with my two kids. had coffee in the afternoon at my favorite coffee shop with a friend, and spent the rest of the afternoon well into the evening talking and playing with my daughters. I'm pretty happy with my life.

Wasn't for a while but I'm on the right path now. I have lots of regrets but I try to think about what I can do to improve my lot going forward instead of missed opportunities in the past. i'm pretty happy overall these days.

Eh just middling at the moment.

On one hand I just graduated with honors and law review from a first tier law school. I'm really happy to be home for good and excited to get my post-educational life started.

On the other hand when I started law school my credentials would have made employment somewhat easy to come by, but at this point things look very bleak. Feel kind of time warped to when I was 13 years old: I'm living at home with no car and no job. Look out ladies!

Will probably start to feel a little better after the bar exam. At least then I'll be able to work towards bettering my situation!

This will make you feel better - I recently graduated with an undergraduate degree, am considering applying to law school, and in the meantime have an embarrassing job based entirely on shallowness. I'm also currently living with my parents in a really lame city that I hope to get away from this fall. I'm telling myself this is all transitional, though. I think it's difficult just getting out of school, but you're in a much more advanced place than I am in a lot of ways, so feel good about where you are.
