Seriously though, leave the madras for spring/summer.

So you're wearing what's appropriate for the temperatures. That was my point. I guess if one lives where the winters are very warm, madras would be very appropriate.

Can someone post some dark madras Is it like madras but with a sinister intent? How would that make it more appropriate for winter?

Please see A Continuous Lean x Gant Rugger limited edition madras shirt. That one was done really well and could almost pass for a lightweight Tartan shirt.
