Indigoskin Denim

There is a brand that has been popping up recently in the Asian denim circles and was brought to my attention by the Denim News blog called INDIGOSKIN, and I thought I'd share this with you all. What do you all think of it so far? Here are some pics.

My personal interest is in the fades wearers have gotten on their pairs, the ones pictures below are unsoaked with 6 months of wear on them.

For those interested here is the official company site.

A few more details.

Those designs on the back pocket and the smaller one pictured ruin it for me.

theres a thread about indigostar on sufu. its pretty pricey, 280 or some other high 200s number. there are alternatives which are cheaper. not to mention products from well known companies that are the same price.

i think this raw denim thing is really going to catch on

Just a couple of thoughts. The half selvedged belt loop on the right looks really redundant. The back pocket embroidery is a bit much. Would like to see a fit pic though.

i like the embroidery. it's a nice signature touch. i don't think the world really needs anymore "NO FRILLS ARTISNAL RAW DRY GOODS OF EXTRAIDONARBDFSJ"

I can see where you are coming from. I don't mind the embroidery as much as it's subtle and nicely done. Take iron hearts for example, the back pockets are embroidered, but they are not in your face looking at my ass types of embroidery. Unless this has a specific meaning, I think it's a bit much (no naruto hate). Hence I wanted to see a fit.

the fades look nice and the details look good but gosh this is so overdone. they've even got the belt that every other denim company does:

the only thing making this different from other jeans on selfedge/context/blueingreen in the same price range is the thai art, which, while interesting i have to wonder what's the value in having it on a pair of stock standard indigo jeans.

Yeah I saw the sufu thread a few days ago. Here is some guy who won a contest for the company or some shit. I think he's wearing their 'slim tight' cut. About the price point, nothing I can say to defend the quality but it seems pretty reasonable for what you get.

at least the yoke is triple stitched

How much do these fetch for and does anybody know when they'll be available online?

Not surprised this happened. There's a ton of hardcore denimhead biker etc. guys running around Bangkok. I saw a ton of small one-off brands at some of the places, just using the standard 501 cut that they use for their fakes with a custom label. Glad someone finally put together something a little nicer. Plus it looks like they've got some plain backpocket models for guys who have an aneurysm every time they say a hint of contrast stitching on a back pocket.
