It's finally official, they're making an M-version of the 1 series. "You will have goose pimples!"

That will be a really fun car to drive and it looks significantly better then the standard 1-series.

I wonder how much HP and the cost?

Makes me think of the E30 BMW...... Because of the size..... Good, I thought BMW's were getting to big... Every year the 3 series got bigger and heavier......

I haven't been in a 1 series, is the same size as an E30 coupe or a 2002?

Whoa, slow down... BMW can still screw it up by including iDrive and electric leather seats to make it over 3300 pounds.

i would had cadillac not just released the CTS-V coupe. I'm also a HUGE fan or the old M coupe based on the Z3. that thing is ugly as homemade sin but SO awesome to drive that it makes up for it.

(Full disclosure, i also love bulldogs and have 2 boston terriers, so ugly is king in my book.)

A couple of my driving buddies have 1 series... A 128i, and a 135i...

Honestly, I don't know what the hell this thing will do to be a better driver then the 135i with M pack, and all the goodies...

Weight savings? ... I wish!
The only M car to be less weight then its standard counterparts is the M3 GTS...

I'm thinking this will have 330~ hp, 19" rims (as per hi res photos), a REAL LSD, and have a more aggressive stance...

Either way, I'm sure this will be a hell of a car!

i'm with you about the dynamics and driving experience. i just don't get this "sedan" approach.

the Z3 coupe needed to getting used to and it really grew on me. pretty cool
