What do you guys think of bowties. Do you wear them and what ettiquette should I be aware of as to when and when not to wear one

I think you have to put a little extra effort/attention into your outfit if you're going to wear one, simply because of the attention it calls to your clothes.

Either that or look like you never pay extra attention to your outfits.

Bowties are so close to stereotypes and can become a custome there great care must be taken to do it right. I must say that I seldom see it done well and have no ideas on how to care them off without creating the wrong results.

I wear bowties about 10-15% of the time I wear a tie. I think they look fine as long as the rest of the outfit isn't too showy.

I wear bow ties 5-10% of the time I wear ties. I also wear ascots at times.

I tend to not follow the rules.............................
