lol you realize taht if you ship first-class mail international you need to pay for priority mail for a tracking number that shows if the item is actually delivered...

with a small box they wont give you tracking for priority, so i said screw it. unless the member is dishonest then he should get it no problem. I just showed that to prove it was shipped. Im near Detroit, Michigan and hes in Toronto so depending on customs he should get it fairly quickly.

Anyone think the guy should have got the glasses by now? Yesterday (Tuesday) was 2 weeks since i shipped it. Im in Michigan and hes in Toronto, Canada.

Priority International can take 6-10 days. I shipped First Class which would be a little longer. But obviously we arent too far away from each other. not sure it would take 15 days so far. Maybe it might, maybe not. Im not too sure.

i dont doubt it, i received something from Canada before and took awhile to get here due to customs. So should i have nothing to worry about then? I just thought it would get to him kinda quick despite customs.

2 weeks is fairly normal. ive waited 1-2 months a few times before. god those customs guys are lazy things go through faster if packages are marked as gifts valued at less than 50 dollars cause they don't have to do the paperwork to tax them

Well thats that i did, i marked it as gift and less than $50 so he wouldnt get any custom fees or anything. Well lets see, im trading with him so of course im nervous because they are expensive glasses.

It's not quite time to get seriously worried. I've had things take up to 3 weeks to get up here to Toronto.

With regard to understating (which is not a bad idea), just want you to know there's no guarantee that the receiver will avoid duty/tax charges. They can easily pop the package open and assess based on whatever they come up with. I've been dinged hard a few times.

May take between 2 weeks - 3 months depending on customs

I've had packages which took 2 months to get to my buyers before. It's the price you pay for shipping priority/first class.

really? i think the value of something is very subjective especially if used. if it's NWT and i paid 90% of retail are they going to look it up and charge me the taxes for the retail price? what if theyre perfect condition lobbs that were thrifted for 5 dollars then resold for 50, what would that get valued at (not that they would even know)? or a worn twice kiton? USPS lost 3.5 billion in the third quarter (canada post probably took a large loss too) so I have a feeling they won't be going easy on the taxes anytime soon....

Customs can take time sometimes, and since these are LV glasses they may feel they need to sniff around for some retarded reason. It has only been like 13 business days though, I wouldn't worry too too much. Bit surprising but not impossible!
