Brooklyn vs. Hoboken for young single guy???

I am 24 years old and plan on moving to either Hoboken or Brooklyn soon. Which do you guys think would be better for someone my age in terms of getting around, meeting girls, accessing manhattan, living conditions etc...??? I will also have to commute to central NJ pretty often so that is a consideration. Thanks a lot!!!

It all depends on how many nights I just wanna crash at my parents house who live right near where I work in central NJ. I could just drive in monday morning and sleep at their house for the week and drive back to NYC on friday, or I could try driving back and forth everyday, but I think that would get old pretty fast since it is probably like 90 mins each way.

If the job is in Central NJ M-F than NJ living makes sense, sigh.

You can hit BK on weekends, I guess, but getting a place there if you're only going to sleep there a few nights a week is not so smart unless you're a Livin For The Weekend kind of dood.

Depends. Do you have a cheesy moustache and eyewear frames far too big for your face? Otherwise, have you ever taken a roadtrip to see Ozzy or Pantera?

How do you even need to ask this question? Have you ever seen a map? I can't fathom how no one has told you how retarded it is to commute from Brooklyn to NJ. Hoboken. You're not getting (cute) NYC women at age 24 anyway. Why not live at home for 2-3 years, have zero commute, and save up a big chunk of cash? That's how the wealthy think. If NJ gets stale/trashy, get a weekend NYC sublet. It will cost a fraction of renting your own place.

Not the part of Bklyn where I live!! 'Boken is a small area. Commute wise, it is a better fit. Everything other-wise, head to BK!

Ok .. so I'm sorta new here .. but are you a real life "Barney" from How I Met Your Mother, or do you just play one on the internet? Do you have a copy of the "Bro Code" on display somewhere in your condo/appartment/house?
