Recommend tailor in Brooklyn, NYC?

Does anybody know an inexpensive tailor in Brooklyn? Preferably Heights or Slope. I don't need anything difficult done, just a buttohole on a lapel. Thanks.

The lapel buttonhole is the highest profile buttonhole on a jacket. You don't want sloppy work there. Take it to Ercole's.

Ok, thanks. They're on vacation this week, but I'll try next week. Do you know of anyone else in Brooklyn, as a backup?

Old topic but I did a search and I have similar questions.

I need major alterations to a P-Coat and some jeans hemmed.

I live in Wiliamsburg and work in Park Slope and I simply dont have time to make the trip down to Ercole's.

What are some alternatives?

Somewhere near Union Square or off the N train would work also.

Anyone have some suggestions?

Cardelino is on 23rd and Broadway, right near the Uptown entrance to the yellow subway line. He does very good work with basic alterations, his prices are very reasonable, and he's a nice man.

I live in Brooklyn, but I get all my alterations done at this shop in Manhattan in the Delancey Street area. It's called the Tailor Shop, and it's located on Orchard and Ludlow Street. Really good work, and they work pretty fast.

Prices are reasonable as well. I got a blazer taken in at the waiste, and two jacket sleeves altered. I paid 80, got it back the next day.

Which Tailorshop is it that you are referring to? There are two in the lower east side, and neither on orchard and ludlow...

It may be a far ways down on the 95th street exit on the R train, but 99th street cleaners for me. The two brothers there live and breath military uniforms and the only people in NYC that I trusted with my USMC uniforms and now with my suits, dry cleaning, and alterations/tailoring (been going there for at least 10 years.) 99th Street and 4th Avenue.
