It sounds counter-intuitive, but I suggest you start smoking more. I never really had the desire to quit smoking until I started to feel like utter ****.

Hi, this video might help:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Yjrk...eature=related

As a reformed smoker I can tell you nobody ever really quits, you go for months without a *** and then all of a sudden the urge hits. But you will feel better, you'll live longer, you'll look younger, etc.

I still get urges but watching people smoke now disgusts me. Being born with a healthy body and then voluntarily throwing that away with an expensive habit is the height of idiocy.

Other than the rising cost of cigarettes, I can't imagine a reason to want to quit smoking. The benefits of smoking include:

1. Makes you look really cool.
2. Feels really good.
3. Gets you an "in" with the hot chicks who smoke, who are also 5 times more likely to give oral sex on the first date.

The negatives regarding health effects are wildly overblown, and anyway the "years" that smoking takes away from you are the ****** ones where you're stuck in a nursing home with nobody to come visit you. I'd rather die a smoker at 55 than live to a healthy 90 unable to wipe my own ass.

There's nothing like a 28 year old slapper with leathery skin and lungs like the Bowen Basin.

Seriously, though, smoke all you want, I may disagree with you but freedom of the individual is sacred.

It takes ages for the cravings to go, and you'll probably relapse a bunch of times. I've gotten to the point where I'll go 3 months without a cigarette, and then slip up. Before that it was 2 months before a slip up. You gradually get to the point that while you still haven't fully quit smoking, you don't smoke anywhere near as much as you used to, and this ultimately is a good thing.

I personally don't believe in the whole formality of the quitting process. It works for some, but didn't for me. I think it just leads to being disappointed when/if you fail. You just need to take some time to remember the reasons why you want to quit in the first place. For me they are:

1) Health reasons (and yes I understand it's more correlation than direct causation, in terms of negative effects. But I figure eliminating additional risks never hurts.)
2) Cost: Imagine all the new clothes you could buy by not buying packs

.
3) Not feeling like **** all the time: I would always feel super lethargic when I smoked

When the perks of not smoking are greater than the perks of smoking, that's when you have the best chance to quit.

I wish you the best of luck in quitting!

There are lots of ways to quit smoking. They range from therapies to counseling to Smoking cessation programs Lots of books help you with guidelines and tips to quit smoking. You can also avail the services of a meditation centre. Lots of websites also offer you information and instructions to quit smoking. Better you can try this one

So you suggest going to a CHEAP CIGARETTES website to someone who is trying to quit smoking? Bravo, you stupid ****. And they wonder why big tobacco is perceived to have no soul.

, I just get annoyed sometimes. After having several close people around me suffering from cigarette LTE, I just find it disgusting that people would even create bots with such malicious messages.

I mean it's one thing to advertise for cigarettes, it's another to generate a message that starts off with how to stop smoking only to offer a link to a cigarette purchase site.

I guess insulting a bot is akin to punching a wall when you're angry. It doesn't accomplish much, but sometimes you feel good doing it.

But I guess one useless comment deserves another (and in this case another one after that), no Hamish?

I quit cold turkey 7 months ago. Have not touched a stick since.

Are there cravings? Of course.

But I remind myself of my grandfather who smoked til he was 40 and quit overnight. More than 40 years later, he's still clean.
