I was looking through the winter APC catalogue and saw two sportcoats, one with a "classic" cut in blue/grey and another one in a "fitted" cut in black. Does anyone have experience with APC blazers? Quality?

The quality is decent for the price (in the $400 range). It is nearly definitely fused, but the finishing is not at all sloppy, and the materials used are usually decent. The cut is really good for slim, narrow guys. Put it this way, at 5'11" and 152 lbs, a medium APC blazer generally fits snugly around the shoulders and chest for me (just slightly slimmer than my 50Eu Costume National coats.) I like the length too, of that particular coat, which is about an inch shorter than a typical sportcoat. Both the slim cut and the short length make it (imho) better for mixing with casualwear than most blazers (face it, a Barbera jacket, no matter how well made, usually looks a little silly with jeans). I was going to buy the spring/summer version at 60% off, (fit me perfectly) but alas, my funds are extremely low...

From what I understand, all APC blazers and suits are canvassed.

My info came from another board member, who work(ed?) at APC NYC. It may or may not be true as of this season.

I tried on the classic jacket from the winter collection last weekend and it feels great. The cut is already very slim and fitted so I can't imagine how the fitted jacket will feel.

Metal Circus, $230 is a very good price for one of these. I'm actually desperate to pick up a black A.P.C blazer (spring or winter version) for around this price so if anyone can hook me up or lead me to a deal, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Canada by the way so I can't really go to any U.S based shops.
