July 14. I will be near Parliament. (I know about Jermyn St.)

Something "like" C&J Coniston boots or Pembrokes. Not wedded to C&J

Other options- places and shoes combinations?

Thank you

After Jermyn st. you could walk up north through the Burlington Arcade (Church & C&J) to JM Weston (Vigo St), then to the Ralph Lauren store (corner of Vigo and New Bond st), and finally up to Lodger (15 Clifford St). There might be other shoe stores in the area (I think there's another Church's shop on New Bond St.).
Other than that, I've read several people recommend John Rushton's shop (http://www.johnrushtonshoes.com/)... I haven't yet been there so I can't comment.

Don't forget Cleverley's in the Royal Arcade (across Old Bond St, roughly opposite where RL is).

Thanks Geezer. I knew I was missing at least one shoe shop.

I am leaning toward a Brogue from C&J or Trickers. I prefer the lighter colors of Trickers, but wonder how they will look when rained upon in Copenhagen?

I am prepared to be flexible. I will check out those two shops and John Rushton if I have time on foot.

Well the trickers and C&J shops are w/in a block of each other on Jermyn street so that should be easy, and then probably a 15-20 minute walk to John Rushton. Enjoy!

Mine were quite good after being rained in Brussels! I second Trickers as the best quality/price ratio in english shoes!

I spent 3 hours on Jermyn St. and tried on countless shoes at Trickers, but nothing fit. I eventaully would up next door at C&J and bought and bought a Chepstow Grain boot. They looked good on me in casual clothes and fit well.

Thanks,

mac
