What a great movie. Will Christopher Johnson return?

My vote is yes.

I hope you're joking, D9 was only higher than Cloverfield in recent movie shitiness

You have terrible taste in film Kira. They wer both fairly good.

i thought district 9 was rather good for it's type of movie. It's relatively original, not terribly cheesy (if you can get over the less-than-subtle apartheid message), and after a while you're able to relate and somewhat sympathize with the main characters and even the creatures. Plus some of the action scenes are pretty badass. on the other hand, cloverfield was a piece of crap. In district 9 they don't try to sell you that the creatures are "scary" while cloverfield does and fails. I wanted the main characters to die. The only good scene, imo, is in the mall when the girl (or was it a guy) runs behind the curtain and all you see is the silhouette of the character exploding. That was a somewhat "shocking" scene. I could do without the rest.

District 9 was a great movie. Very original in how it was made. I remember the first 5 minutes thinking what a piece of crap then leaving amazed by the movie.

I did however think they shouldnt do a sequel.

Cloverfield was ok at best.

Pretty average movie. The prawns were poorly designed, shit was comical.

We keep thinking the same thing about you, and yet, here you are.

Nice.

I will be buying D9 on blu-ray to enjoy again. Great movie that delivered so much more than I or anyone I know expected.

My only gripe was the "bad guy" Mercenary Captain. He was poorly realized and developed.

D9 is totally set up for a sequel.

I enjoyed it.

I liked it how the first half was a solid concept/morals type movie, then it suddenly became an action movie.

can't really think of many other movies which seamlessly go from Schindler's List to Predator.

In 3 years. He won't be forgotten.

I initially thought the movie was very unique and cool, but it soon devolved into typical retarded action film crap - which took away from the great technical/stylistic parts of the movie.

Pretty much the same way I thought about Avatar.
