Maybe the original buyer kept tripping over because of the excess toe length.

It is odd, but they look normal from the side angle. Perhaps the buyer had very small feet and this was an attempt to give the appearance of normal size, something to which I am, of course, very sensitive.

lol.

Maybe the buyer just have very narrow feet so top down they look very narrow but profile looks elegant and normal.

I thought the Russian leather was deer, not calf?

I believe, at least partially, the perceived length of the shoe is a result of a short focal length (wide angle) used by the photographer. See how the shoe closer to the camera appears far longer than the one further back.

"The camera doesn't lie" is about the dumbest saying ever invented. :D

if it's done similarly by a different company is it still an abomination ?
For me, yes. For G&G thread, it's sublime!

Haha...I was going to say that if you chipped off the tip of the toe it looked like a Deco...but then I feared the wrath of the G&G fan club....now I feel safe in company! (I admit it, I think the Deco last is silly...)

Cleverley Russian Calf boots.

Perfection. And maybe a good reason to turn one's nose up at "hatchgrain". Congratulations, Jerry, my feet continue to live a beautiful vicarious life through your wondrous excesses!
